E-Vam Institute raising funds for ceremonies honoring Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche

The E-Vam Institute is collecting funds for ceremonial proceedings to honor Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche, who died suddenly July 24.

"To show our undying love and appreciation we want to ensure that all ceremonies for Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche will be conducted with the utmost care and in accordance with traditional requirements pertaining to the highest of Lamas," wrote Rinpoche's wife, Felicity Lodro, and his personal assistant, Kal Kingi, in an email to E-Vam supporters.

Kagyu rinpoches, ritual masters and lamas will fly to Australia to participate in the ceremonies. Funds are needed for statues, brocades, and building materials for a stupa, as well as airfare and other support for the visiting lamas. The dates for the ceremonies have yet to be announced, though organizers said as many as possible will be open to the public.
