Buddhist Contemplative Care Symposium set for November at the Garrison Institute

The Shambhala Sun Foundation is pleased to co-sponsor the first ever Buddhist Contemplative Care Symposium, which will run November 8–11 at the Garrison Institute in Garrison, New York. The conference focuses on providing the most effective palliative and end-of-life care possible, drawing together neuroscience researchers, doctors, nurses, and other health care providers, Buddhist teachers, and patient advocates. Keynote speakers include Buddhist teachers Koshin Paley Ellison, Judy Lief and Robert Chodo Campbell, and doctors Anthony Back, Diane Meier, Radhule Weininger, Michael Kearney, and BJ Miller.
