Children find six ancient Buddha statues in Cambodia

According to the Washington Post this morning, Cambodian officials say that a group of children inadvertently unearthed six ancient Buddha statues while bathing in a pond in Khleng Por (north of the capital Phnom Penh). The statues, believed to be from the 9th to 12th centuries, were discovered on Wednesday and have been moved to a provincial museum. The children found the statues near the banks of the freshly dug pond.
