International Buddhist Film Festival to hit Hong Kong, London and Bangkok

The Berkeley-based International Buddhist Film Festival, the world's largest presenter of Buddhist and Buddhist-inspired cinema, will launch its 10th Anniversary Season this year with exhibitions in Hong Kong, London and Bangkok. IBFF has presented nearly three-hundred films during its ten year run.

"We've screened several hundred films from submissions, archival research and invitations. These include dramas, comedies, documentaries and animated works from over a dozen countries," said Gaetano Kazuo Maida, IBFF Executive Director.

"In each city we will be presenting compelling new selections of the best Buddhist cinema together with some wonderful guests—it's world cinema with a Buddhist touch."

Hong Kong: The IBFF in Hong Kong will be held at the new Asia Society Hong Kong Center from March 16–25 (sponsored by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation). This is the first IBFF held in Hong Kong.

London: The IBFF in London will be held at the Apollo Piccadilly Circus from April 11–15 (presented by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation)

Bangkok: The IBFF in Bangkok will be hosted at various cinemas and sponsored by the Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives from June 5–10. This is the first IBFF held in Bangkok.
